Description
Sweet Georgia Brown was recorded and released by the University of Michigan Jazz Ensemble (directed by Elen Rowe) on their 2004 release “Seven Eleven.” I wrote this arrangement at the request of the great Hank Jones, who also played on the recording. Fittingly, this features piano throughout – both on melodies and the solo. The chart bounces between a fast swing and a half time swunky feel. Enjoy!
