Description
“Chuck” was recorded and released by the House Big Band on its album “Getting Housed”. This was composed by my long time friend Ryan Bash in honor of Chuck Mangione. My arrangement starts with a chorale featuring flugelhorn to set the mood and harmonic base for the catchy, upbeat commercial funk ride to come. There are solos by trumpet, trombone and tenor sax and a short but challenging unison saxophone section soli. Chuck is an infectious melody that you won’t get out of your head anytime soon. Enjoy!
