Description
An 11-piece version of my arrangement of Wayne Shorter’s Beauty and the Beast was recorded and released by Walter White and Small Medium at Large on their 2012 release “Breaking Good.” This is my original full big band arrangement of the tune. The tenor saxophone is featured both on the melody and the solo, but the brass are heavily featured both in a chorale and the extended build toward the end. **Note to directors, the arrangement can also start at measure 13 (the bar before “B”) to shorten the song and eliminate the difficult intro if needed.
