Liquid Street is a jazz/funk/fusion quartet from the talent soaked region of Southeast Michigan. Influences and repertoire come from Herbie Hancock, Joshua Redman, Kenny Garrett, Soulive, Greyboy Allstars, Wayne Shorter, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, and others.
The band boasts four talented and experienced young guns: (LaDell Abrams – drums; Matt Endahl – keyboards; Jason Phelps – bass; Bobby Streng – saxophones). Members of Liquid Street are also members or alumni of Cece Winans, Usher, Funktelligence, John P. Kee, Harry James Band, Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Paul Keller Orchestra, Father Time, Blue Maize, the University of Michigan Jazz Ensemble, and the Lucas Paul Band.
With their well rehearsed, tight arrangements, engaging repertoire, and a steady stream of special guests, Liquid Street has become on of the must see groups of the scene.
